Fashion & Makeup

The Advanced Diploma in Fashion Designing is a comprehensive program focused on developing creative and technical skills required in the fashion industry. The course covers fashion illustration, garment construction, styling concepts, textile understanding, and portfolio development, preparing students for careers as fashion designers, stylists, and creative professionals.

Course

Term I — Foundations of Fashion Design

Months 1–4

Module 1 - Fashion & Textile Theory

Introduces fibres, fabrics, and the material science underlying fashion, together with the theoretical vocabulary used throughout the programme.

Module 2 - Garment Surface Ornamentation

Covers embroidery, fabric painting, and embellishment techniques used to enhance the aesthetic and textural quality of a garment.

Module 3 - Fashion Illustration

Builds the student’s visual language through the sketching of fashion figures, silhouettes, and design concepts.

Term II — Construction & Design Craft

Months 5–8

Module 4 - Pattern Making & Construction

Trains students in drafting garment patterns and translating them into finished, wearable outfits.

Module 5 - Digital Illustration

Introduces digital design tools and software for producing professional fashion visuals and presentation boards.

Module 6 - Draping

Develops an understanding of fabric flow and structure through hands-on design work executed directly on the dress form.

Term III — Styling, Beauty & Industry Readiness

Months 9–12

Module 7 - Fashionography

Integrates professional makeup, creative nail art, and hairstyling with fashion design, preparing students to style a complete editorial or client-ready look.
